I’d say there’s a pretty good case brewing for cutting your ties with the Social Network: dailymail.co.uk says “An attempt to ban US bosses from asking employees to hand over their Facebook login details has been blocked by Congress.
A last minute alteration to the controversial Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) that would have prevented employers demanding that prospective employees disclose social media passwords as a condition of employment was voted down in the house of representatives.

Truthfully this is no more or less risk than employers scanning your Twitter/Google+ history or demanding you provide them with your account access, what’s next asking to scan your personal email for behavior patterns, analyzing your Instagram and Pinterest history to see what pictures you share and take to determine risky behavior? Your decision to boycott Facebook just scapegoats this one social media program but the implications affect them all.
